First Win Of The Season!!
Twas an intense game from the very first puck drop on Saturday November 4th at the Ballroom in Orangeville infront of 220 plus fans and supporters.
Your Orangeville Blitz took down the defending champions Stratford Fighting Irish with a score of 7-4. Both Josh Miller and Blake Lovell each with a hat trick in the game and Nathan Roe with his first of the year while Goalie Ryan Mantle stopped over 40 shots in the game making some KEY saves. The Blitz were running short but pulled off the upset in this battle. This game had it all including radio personality Nick Eeuwes from FM 101 Orangeville hosting the night, Gerry Gould and the Team from Rogers TV Orangeville broadcasting the game LIVE.
The Orangeville Flyers U13 BB's came out to participate with the BLITZ by going on the bench to get up close and personal with our players during warm up, then having a shootout to display their skills during the first intermission for our fans and then meeting the Blitz Players after the game in the dressingroom for pictures and autographs.
FROSTBITE, our mascot, was entertaining the fans while tossing skate towels into the crowd throughout the game.
WHAT A NIGHT, to say the least!
Congratulations to our Coach Murray for getting the big win and for getting the very most out of our valued players!
Thank you to all who came to support us!
